Buses
Going to Xela, you may make reservations, although tickets are usually available if you arrive one hour before departure. The trip is normally about 4 to 4.5 hours. Do not take any departures after 3:00 PM—if necessary, stay overnight in Guatemala City and leave the next day. We have an optional airport pickup and homestay available if you need to do this.
Currency
Passports
A valid passport (not due to expire within 6 months) is required to enter Guatemala, but citizens of most countries do not need a visa. The complete list of countries from which a visa is not required is on our FAQ page.
