Buses
Going to Xela, you may make reservations, although tickets are usually available if you arrive one hour before departure. Trip is about four hours. Do not take any departures after 3:00 PM – if necessary, stay overnight in Guatemala City and leave the next day.
Currency
Passports
A valid passport (not due to expire within 6 months) is required to enter Guatemala, but citizens of most countries do not need a visa. The complete list of countries from which a visa is not required is on our FAQ page.
